In the beginning of 1995, BEFORE DAWN took form in the mind of
Sylvain Desilets (rhythm & lead guitars) and Daniel Juneau (bass
& vocals). The two members decided to start a new band, taking a new
approach musically right after two of the members, with whom they've been
playing with for four years, decided to leave and stop all musical
activities. Back then, the band was called FLH. It was a four
members unit and had released three demos, done a couple of shows and been
in fanzines, magazines and radios from 1990 to 1994.
In 1995, the two members of BEFORE DAWN released a three-song tape,
which included "Learn Or Leave", "Hit The Bullets" and "Blood
Lust". The demo played in many radio stations and had some really
good reviews in many fanzines.
The band took nearly a year and half to find the right replacement to
complete the band. In November of 1996, the new member was found;
Steve The Lange (drums). All the members started right away to
work on tightening the songs and then, after being at ease with each other,
writing new songs.
In the beginning of 1998, BEFORE DAWN released its second demo
with the songs "A Cowboy's Date", "Black Horror" and "The Land
Of Ice", which was recorded in November 1997. The band is still
writing new songs, preparing their first full lenght CD for the end of
1998/early 1999 and started to do some shows (as much as possible!),
including an appearance on the contest festival Polliwog '98.
The are looking to play everywhere in the near future.
